  • Bruce Lundrigan

    Project Management

    With nearly 20 years in construction project management, Bruce brings expert knowledge of Oracle Primavera software and in-depth knowledge of Advanced Work Package methodology to coordinating complex, evolving projects.  

    Prior to co-founding North Star, he was the director of Black Dog Solutions, which provided a host of project management services including planning and scheduling, shutdown/turnaround management, estimating and cost control, project information management and document control. During his career, Bruce has worked on various industrial and construction projects in mining, transportation, and energy across Atlantic Canada for a range of regional, national and international clients, including NB Power, Hydro One, SNC Lavalin and Rio Tinto.   

    Bruce has a bachelor of science from Acadia University and a bachelor of mechanical engineering from the Technical University of Nova Scotia. He lives in Sackville, where he heads up North Star’s New Brunswick office.

  • Robert Thompson

    Project/Maintenance Management

    North Star co-founder Rob Thomspon has 25 years’ experience in industrial project management, including 15 years with the Iron Ore Company of Canada. There, Rob held increasingly senior roles, including superintendent of planning, processing operations; senior planner and superintendent of pellet plant maintenance; senior project engineer; and team leader, mobile maintenance.

    Before starting North Star in 2013, he formed TNT Project Management Inc. to provide project management and planning services to the iron ore mining industry. Rob brings wide and deep experience in project engineering, planning and controls; plant maintenance, inspection, commissioning, mineral processing, safety management systems, and construction management.

    Rob has a bachelor of mechanical engineering from the Memorial University of Newfoundland. He lives in Labrador City, where he oversees North Star’s Newfoundland and Labrador headquarters.
